How do I create a space or a group?

Short answer
In the sidebar, the plus beside Spaces creates a space and the plus beside Groups creates a group in the space you are currently looking at. A group can hold groups, so the tree goes as deep as you need it to. Spaces and groups are part of the encrypted vault, which means they sync to your other devices along with the codes.
The order that survives contact with reality
- Two or three spaces first. Name them after how you actually think — Work, Personal, Servers — and give each a colour so a glance is enough to place a code.
- Groups only once a space needs dividing. Add them when scrolling starts to cost you something, not in advance.
- Then file. Entries move in bulk, so building the tree around what you have beats guessing at it first.
A space carries settings a group does not
Open a space's settings and you can override, for that space alone, whether codes are visible or need a tap to reveal, and how long a copied code stays on the clipboard. It is the right place for the difference between your own logins and a client's production systems. Groups are pure filing: a name, a parent, and nothing else.
Renaming and deleting are both cheap
Every name here is editable afterwards, and the structure is not load-bearing: search covers the whole group path anyway, so a half-finished tree still finds things. The features page explains what happens to the codes inside when a space or a group goes.
