KeyNesta for iPhone
Built and awaiting App Store release. No launch date is set yet.
The iPhone app is written and working; it has not been released on the App Store yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise with a badge that links nowhere. There is no launch date to announce. If you want to know the day it appears, the link below sends an email and nothing else happens with your address.
What you can do right now instead
The web app is the complete product and is live today: the same vaults, spaces, nested groups and tags, the same AES-256-GCM encryption, the same imports and encrypted backups. It runs in Safari on an iPhone as well as on a desktop. When the native app arrives, sync carries your existing vault over; nothing needs rebuilding.
What the native app adds
These are the things a browser cannot do, and the reason the app exists at all:
- Face ID or Touch ID unlock, instead of typing a passphrase every time.
- Camera QR scanning, so enrolling a new account is a scan rather than a file upload.
- Codes on the home screen, in a native list built for a thumb.
Everything else — the organisation model, the encryption, the sync protocol — is the shared engine the web app already uses, which is why the two behave identically.
Being honest about the wait
- There is no TestFlight beta open at the moment.
- There is no launch date, so there is none quoted anywhere on this site.
- The notify link is a plain mailto. There is no list, no signup form and no tracking pixel; an email arrives in a mailbox and is replied to by a person.
The other platforms
The web app is live. Android is in the same position as iPhone: built, awaiting its store release.
Frequently asked questions
When will the iPhone app be on the App Store?
There is no date to give yet. Rather than publish a guess that slips, this page says what is true: the app is built and the store release is pending. Email hello@keynesta.com and you will be told on the day it goes live.
Can I use KeyNesta on an iPhone today?
Yes, through the web app in Safari. It is the full product, not a preview: vaults, groups, search, encrypted backups, imports and sync all work. Add it to your home screen and it behaves much like an installed app.
Will my vault transfer to the native app when it ships?
Yes, through sync. Turn sync on in the web app, sign in on the phone when the app arrives, and the vault arrives encrypted and decrypts on the device. If you prefer not to use sync, an encrypted backup file restores the same way.
What happens to my email if I use the notify link?
It sits in the hello@keynesta.com mailbox until the app ships, you get one message saying it is out, and that is the end of it. It is not added to a marketing list and it is not shared with anyone.
