Contact KeyNesta
Current as of 21 September 2026.
Email is how you reach KeyNesta. There are four published addresses, split by what the message is about, so the quickest route is simply to pick the one that matches.
| Address | Use it for |
|---|---|
| hello@keynesta.com | General questions, press, partnerships, and anything that does not fit the three below. |
| support@keynesta.com | Help with the app itself: imports, encrypted backups, sync, or something behaving in a way the guides do not explain. |
| security@keynesta.com | Vulnerability reports and anything with a security impact. This is the address in our security.txt. |
| privacy@keynesta.com | Data protection questions and statutory data rights requests, as named in the privacy policy. |
What helps us answer faster
- Which KeyNesta you are using: the web app, the iPhone app or the Android app, and which browser if it is the web app.
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead, in that order. If there was an error message, the exact wording.
- For an import problem, which app you exported from and what the file extension was. A couple of harmless example lines are more useful than the whole file.
Never send us your vault passphrase, a backup file, or an otpauth:// link or QR screenshot. Those are your secrets, nobody here needs them to help you, and the passphrase would be useless to us anyway: see the encryption architecture for why.
What we cannot do, whoever you write to
- Reset or recover a vault passphrase. It never leaves your device and we hold no key that opens a vault without it.
- Read, export or restore a vault for you. If sync is on, the server holds ciphertext and version numbers. There is nothing readable on our side to send you.
- Get you back into an account at another service. Only that service can do that, through its own recovery process. Lost phone recovery walks through both cases: the codes you can restore, and the accounts you have to recover with the service directly.
Reporting a vulnerability
Write to security@keynesta.com with enough detail to reproduce the issue: the affected platform and version, the steps, and what an attacker gains. The same address is published in security.txt, and the security overview describes the model you would be testing against, including the limits we already know about.
The business behind the product
KeyNesta is built and operated by BitsSolved Software, a sole proprietorship registered in India under MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-TN-09-0109230. Its registered office, and the address of the data controller named in the privacy policy, is 13-124A, Manalivilagathu Veedu, Kalkulam, Thickanamcode, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District, Tamil Nadu 629804, India. More about who that is and why the product exists is on the about page.
Frequently asked questions
Which address should I use?
hello@keynesta.com for anything general, support@keynesta.com for help with the app, security@keynesta.com for a vulnerability or any security impact, and privacy@keynesta.com for data protection questions and data rights requests. If you are unsure, hello@keynesta.com is the right default.
Can support reset my vault passphrase?
No. The passphrase never leaves your device, and the key that unwraps your vault is derived from it, so no one at KeyNesta holds anything that can open your vault. That is a property of the design rather than a policy, which is also why it cannot be waived for a specific case.
Is there a phone number or live chat?
No. The four email addresses on this page are the only contact channels KeyNesta publishes. The registered office address is a legal address for the business, not a support desk.
How do I report a security vulnerability?
Email security@keynesta.com, the address published in security.txt, with the affected platform and version, the steps to reproduce, and the impact. Please do not include real secrets from your own vault in the report.
